Spring Clean Out |
|
When that glorious April sunshine begins to brighten up the dusty corners of your home, it's time to reach for the cleaning supplies. But are you stumped by the many options, the anti-bacterial claims, and the promise of "green" ingredients? You're not alone.
Ignore the Hype
Pass up all those specialty products and go for one all-purpose cleaner. In our tests, we found that for average cleaning jobs, they all perform about equal. It's best save your money and choose a budget brand, or buy whatever's on sale. Read more in our all-purpose cleaners test.
Green Your Clean
Many manufacturers use all kinds of buzzwords to make you think their product is the more eco-friendly choice. You'll see terms like botanical, natural, biodegradable, and any range of fruit or vegetable-related ingredients. But they don't necessarily mean the product is less toxic to you or the environment. Read more in our eco-friendly cleaners test.
Your Cleaning Tips
If you've got a great spring cleaning tip to share, we want to hear about it! Post comments on our cleaner tests, or send us your own tips & product reviews.
