I really love your show. It's so nice to watch people cooking in the real world, when they actually make mistakes, have the wrong ingredients, and make the same dish 3 times just to get it right! Honestly though my favorite part of every show is the chalkboard. Who the heck writes out the menu for each episode? The writing is beautiful!... Even if the food doesn't turn out the best, the menu is gorgeous!

Your show is definitely one of my favourites around, even my boyfriend enjoys watching it with me. I absolutely love the product reviews, and bought one of my roommates the mandolin slicer for her birthday because she loves French Onion soup. I was wondering if you list the wines the guest chefs bring anywhere on the site? I have yet to find it, and I'm quite the wine fanatic.

Hi girls, My boyfriend and I love watching your show together. We both keep saying "they should do the Eat, Shrink & Be Merry book by Janet and Greta Podleski"! I own this book and highly recommend it. The food is healthy and delicious, the pictures are great, and there are plenty of helpful tips and food puns to spice things up. Best of all, the recipes are so reliable that I have made new dishes for the first time when I had people coming over for dinner! So far, every dish has been a hit!

Hi Ladies, Love the show - absolutely fabulous! Have you thought of adding any of these books to your list of potentials; The Best of Chef at Home - Michael Smith, Jamies' Food Revolution - Jamie Oliver, Martha Stewart's Cooking School - Martha Stewart, or Great Food Fast -Everyday Food - Martha Stewart? Also, in your experience, do you find that owning more than one cookbook from the same author is usually a good thing, or just too much of the same material and not enough variety from one book to another? Cheers, Lori C.

Hi Lori, Thanks for the suggestions. We'll add them to our list to look at. (We already have many Michael Smith requests! But we've already done one each by Jamie O. and Martha S.) It's ok to have more than one cookbook by the same author, as long as the recipes are different enough. Look through the recipes first before you buy in order to make sure there isn't too much overlap with something you already have. ~A&K

Hello; First I have to say that I have been a shopping bags fan for years. I love the real world testing of pretty much everything. I do have one question/comment: Why don't you wear your hair back when you're cooking? I am not suggesting hair nets, but I have long hair and know how easy it is to get stray hairs where you don't want them. When I'm cooking for guests I make sure that I have it pulled back to minimize the risk of the embarrassing comment "There is a hair in my risotto!" PS. I loved your review of the Jamie Oliver cookbook. It has the BEST shortbread and chowder recipes.

Hi Girls Love your shows and enjoy your reviews very much! I know you likely get suggestions for many cookbooks, but I just came across a new release and it's from a fellow Canadian. Ken Kostick's the $10 Gourmet. (released in Nov. 09) The book is filled with beautiful food pictures (which I prefer to see in a cookbook) and lays flat for easy reading. The ingredients are simple, with a receipt shown on each page of how much everything costs-under $10 for dinner for 2, and includes shopping tips and how to stock your fridge & pantry. I received it as a Christmas gift and have been experimenting as often as I can. We love it, and it's reduced my grocery bills! Give it a try!

Hi Ladies, love your show! It's pretty much the only show that makes me laugh out loud. It reminds me of cooking with my girlfriends. I loved the Campground Cookery episode - I laughed so hard when you guys screamed when you caught the fish (exactly what us girls do when camping) and then proceeded to clean it with a wet wipe. Golden! I see you've already had requests for Michael Smith - as my favourite chef (my mom and I have met him 9 times) I would love for you guys to do his Best of Chef at Home book. Some of your escapades in the kitchen have happened to me (smoke alarms, fires in the oven, etc.) but not too often. My question is do you do your cooking day at one of your homes or at a different location? Just curious!
